Non-inverted Wh-questions
Was just talking to Sarah about this -- it's commonly done by NNESs, but we agreed that we both do it sometimes. Logged into the internet ten minutes later at Blenz Coffee and this came up on their homepage:
I personally struggle with a "guess wh-" statement. 95% of the time I put a question mark at the end, and have to look at it for a second before feeling convinced that it actually requires a period (or exclamation mark).
Guess what I find difficult.
